Nuvoton NUC1263 Series: Vibrant ARGB Lighting Control with Easy LLSI Interface Design
Introduction
ARGB (Addressable RGB) is an upgraded version of traditional RGB technology. Unlike traditional RGB, ARGB adds an independent control IC to each LED, allowing each LED to be programmed individually to create more diverse lighting effects.
WS2812B is a smart external control LED source that integrates control and lighting circuits. It shares the same physical form as the 5050 LED, where each component acts as a pixel. Each pixel contains an intelligent digital interface, data latch, signal shaping, and driving circuits. It also includes a high-precision internal oscillator and programmable constant current control to ensure color consistency across each pixel.
The data protocol uses a single-wire, zero-code communication method. After powering on and resetting, the DIN pin receives data from the controller. The first 24-bit data is transmitted to the first pixel, which extracts it and stores it in its internal latch. The internal shaping circuit processes the remaining data, amplifies it, and forwards it through the DO pin to the next cascaded pixel. The signal decreases by 24 bits with each pixel.
Nuvoton NUC126x Series Products
The NuMicro® NUC126x series is based on the Arm® Cortex®-M23 core and supports the Arm®v8-M instruction set (including division instructions), with a maximum clock frequency of 72 MHz. It features a built-in LED Light Strip Interface (LLSI) and a 48 MHz high-speed oscillator, eliminating the need for external crystal oscillators for the USB 2.0 full-speed peripheral interface. The series operates within a wide voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and supports an industrial temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.
