The NuMaker-M258KG is an evaluation board for Nuvoton NuMicro M258KG and M258SG microcontrollers with COM/SEG LCD driver, USB 2.0 FS device and capacitive touch key sensing function. The NuMaker-M258KG consists of two parts: an M258KG target board and an on-board Nu-Link2-Me debugger and programmer. The NuMaker-M258KG is designed for project evaluation, prototype development and validation with power consumption monitoring function. The M258KG target board is based on NuMicro M258KG6AE to evaluate the capacitive touch key sensing function on TK14 with message display on 8 x 40 HTN-LCD panel for Human Machine Interface application. For the development flexibility, the M258KG target board provides the extension connectors, the Arduino UNO compatible headers and the capability of adopting multiple power supplies. Furthermore, the Nuvoton-designed ammeter connector can measure the power consumption instantly, which is essential for the prototype evaluation.

The NuMicro® M433SE8AE is a high performance, low power microcontroller powered by the Arm® Cortex®-M4F core with DSP instruction and single-precision floating-point unit (FPU) extension. The M433SE8AE runs at speeds up to 144 MHz, and the power consumption in the deep power-down mode drops to 350 nA, offering excellent energy efficiency tailored for IoT, industrial, and consumer applications. The NuMicro® M433SE8AE supports operating voltage from 1.8V to 3.6V, and temperature from - 40℃ to 105℃. It provides up to 128 KB Flash memory for code storage and 64 KB SRAM for run time operation. In order to reduce the data access overhead of CPU core to peripherals, 1 set of 9-channel peripheral direct memory access (PDMA) is provided. The M433SE8AE supports plenty of peripherals, including 2 sets of CAN, USB FS OTG, up to 18 channels of 16-bit PWM, 4 sets of UART, 2 sets of SPI/I²S, 1 set of Quad-SPI, 2 sets of I²C, 1 set QEI and 1 set capture.

The NuMicro M254/M256/M258 series 32-bit low-power microcontroller is based on Arm Cortex-M23 core using Armv8-M architecture with COM/SEG LCD display driver and capacitive touch key functions; an USB 2.0 full speed device is also equipped to support the communication with PC/Mobile accessories. It runs up to 48 MHz and features up to 256 Kbytes Flash memory, up to 32 Kbytets SRAM, 1.75V ~ 5.5V wide operating voltage, 5V I/O tolerance, and -40℃ to +105℃ operating temperature. The M254/M256/M258 series provides low power consumption in Normal Run mode 110 μA/MHz at 48 MHz, Power-down mode with 3.8 μA while RTC on and RAM retention, and it can supports down to 2.2uA while RTC off, and Deep Power-down mode is down to 1.6 μA. The M254/M256/M258 series integrates RTC with independent VBAT voltage source pin to support low power mode with main power off and VBAT only. An 8 x 44, 6 x 46, 4 x 48 COM/SEG LCD is available on the M254/M256/M258 series.
