  • Install the preferred toolchain. Ensure that at least one of the following toolchains is installed:
  • Download and install the latest Nuvoton Nu-Link driver:
  • Download and extract the Board Support Package (BSP) or Motor Drive Example Code.
  • Hardware Setup
    • Connect the Nu-Link-Me connector (JP3) to the PC's USB port using a USB cable.
    • Connect the J6/J7 (U), J3/J4 (V), J1/J2 (W) connectors and the J12 (Hall Sensor) connector to the motor's U/V/W terminals and Hall sensor.
    • Connect the J10 or J9 (Vin) and J11 (GND) connectors to the power supply.
  • Find the " NM1530_1R_2R_6stp_Hall_FOC.uvprojx" project file in the example code folder.

  • Open and execute the project in the toolchain. For detailed settings, please refer to "UM_NM1530 Motor Demo System Introduction-EN", "UM_NM1530 Sensor based FOC_Rev1.0-EN_20210527" and "UM_NM1530 Motor Demo System_FOC 1R-2R and Six Step".
  • After setting all the required parameters, turn on the VR or VSP to run the motor and verify its performance.
