Power Delivery 3.0 Dual Role Power (DRP) Solution

Based on the NuMicro® M2L31, this reference design implements a smart charging/power supply solution for efficient power management over a USB Type-C interface. NuMicro® M2L31 supports PD3.0 DRP (Power Delivery 3.0 Dual Role Power) functionality, which enables the design to switch between power source and power sink. When switching to power sink, the design supports three different input voltage options: 5V, 9V, and 15V, with a maximum input power of 25W. When switching to the power source, it also provides 5V, 9V, and 15V outputs (OTG mode), with a maximum output power of 25W. This reference design offers a straightforward solution that delivers high performance and accommodates diverse charging needs.
