In the program development process, how to confirm if a register value is correct? Datum:2015-12-21
In Debug mode under the Keil RVMDK development environment, the System Viewer window can be used for monitoring register values; in Debug mode under the IAR EWARM development environment, the SFR (Special Function Register) is provided for users to confirm register values. In the Stop/Break state, the user can change the register value, but the register with the Write-protect function can only be written after unlocked.
Keil RVMDK: After the Nu-Link Driver for Keil RVMDK is installed, the user can set an import file name of the System Viewer File through Project→Options for Target→Target page, as shown below.
If the pre-selected import file is different from the chip series used, the user can enable the “Use Custom File” option and re-select an import file. The file path is (Keil RVMDK installation path)\ARM\SFD\Nuvoton.
After entering Debug mode, the user can open a register to monitor through the View→System Viewer command; or click an icon on the toolbar, as shown below.
- IAR EWARM: After the Nu-Link Driver for IAR EWARM is installed, the user can open the Target page through the Project→Options→General Options command, and select a chip series to use in the Processor variant section, as shown below. In accordance with the chip series selected by the user, the IAR EWARM will import related files. The user can confirm the relevant settings through Project→SFR Setup or Project→ Open Device File→SFR Definitions.
After entering Debug mode, the user can open the Register window through the View→Register command, and select a register to monitor from a pull-down menu, as shown below.
